The primary function of the Administrator is to act as the principle agent for the Board of Directors in the administration of the Home Health Agency. The Administrator works with the Director of Nursing in the overall operation of the clinical department to ensure the agency functions are consistent with community needs, agency plans, and accepted professional standards. This position is responsible for promoting and maintaining the standards of practice consistent with quality health care, while maximizing human, financial, and equipment resources. The Administrator is responsible for following up on complaints, training and development of Doctors, Nurse Practitioners, Hospitalists, Physician Assistants and the overall management of the agency, which would include conducting Mock Surveys of the Agency. The Administrator is also responsible for making sure the agency stays in compliance by assuring that all Policies and Procedures are updated and distributed in a timely manner.
